Best AirBnB Listing Picture Tips

Taking pictures to go along with your AirBnB listing is an opportunity to make your AirBnB listing stand out.  Before guests read through your AirBnB listing description, they will almost certainly look through your pictures to see if it’s a place they can see themselves on vacation.  Here are the best tips and tricks for your AirBnB listing pictures.

Essential Photos for your AirBnB Listing (in the order you should present them)

 

Bedroom – Make the bedroom picture your main AirBnB Listing picture

  • DO ensure the picture is well lit
  • DO make visible all the amenities in the bedroom (desk, chair, lamps, etc.).  Try to get everything in one picture if possible.
  • DO NOT picture anything that the guest will not have during their stay
  • DO NOT have more than 3 pictures of the bedroom.  Avoid repetitives pictures!

 

Bathroom – Show your guests where they will conduct their business at your AirBnB listing

  • DO ensure the picture is well lit
  • DO try to include the sink(s) and shower/bathtub in a single picture.  Two pictures is acceptable.
  • DO NOT picture anything that the guest will not have during their stay
  • DO NOT have more than 3 pictures of the bedroom.  Avoid repetitives pictures!

 

Other Amenities – What else does your AirBnB listing offer?

  • DO include a well lit pictures of the kitchen if guests are allowed to use it
  • DO include a well lit picture of the living area if guests are allowed to use it
  • DO include a well lit picture of the dining area if guests are allowed to use it
  • DO NOT include pictures of parts of the house that guests will not have access to
  • DO NOT include a picture of every amenity.  Nobody cares what your ironing board looks like.  Sorry…

  • DO include a single recent picture of what your guests will be walking up to.  It will let them know they are in the right place!
  • DO NOT show every angle of the home.  A single picture of where guests need to enter will do the trick!

 

All in all, you should have 5-10 pictures.  With a bedroom and bathroom pictures, a few pictures of the other areas guests can use, and a picture of the walk up, you can show your guests everything they need to see prior to making a reservation for your AirBnB listing.
